Could you be a driver with Stowey Shuttle?

Stowey Shuttle is a local community car scheme, one of a number of similar schemes in West Somerset, which provides car journeys at cost, or sometimes free, to its registered members.

It is run entirely by volunteers who manage the scheme, receive and allocate requests for travel, and drive our passengers using their own cars.

Our drivers receive a mileage allowance for each journey, and we are supported by Somerset County Council and the scheme is linked to the bus pass scheme.

We always welcome more volunteers and at present would like to increase the number of our drivers. If you can offer yourself and your car or would just like to know more about what is involved, please ring Dave, our driver representative, on 01278 732466.
