A friendly and social group meets every Friday morning from 10.30 to midday. All ages and abilities are welcome. Bring your own project, which could be knitting, sewing, crocheting, embroidery etc. or just come for a natter and see what others are working on. It’s a great way to get inspired, learn new tips and make new friends! There is no charge for the group, just a donation for tea or coffee.
The Women’s Institute is somewhere for women of all ages to relax, have fun and make new friends. They meet at the Church Centre, Nether Stowey on the second Thursday of the month at 2pm
Story Time is a lovely activity for babies and toddlers, pre-school children, and their grown-ups. Held every Monday (apart from bank holidays) from 11 to 11.30. Listen to a story then pick an instrument from the music box and join in as we sing nursery rhymes.

The 217th Stowey Women’s Walk takes place on Saturday 21 June. The Walk departs from The Cross at 3pm. The historic tradition, of the women of the Stowey’s walking each year, on the Saturday closest to mid-summer, is to honour the memory of Thomas Poole. Thomas Poole was born in Nether Stowey in 1765.
