Overnight Road Closure: A39 Cannington Road, 3-7 August (Nether Stowey and Fiddington)

Temporary Road Closure: Cannington Road, Fiddington and Nether Stowey
Reference: WD07,08-SD001357-58-Cannington Road – SD    

Please be aware that we have received notification of a temporary road closure at
a) Cannington Road, Fiddington and Nether Stowey for approximately 1559 metres, which will commence on 3 August 2026 and is expected to last until 6 August 2026 (between 22:00 to 06:00hrs). These works are for Kiely Bros to carry out phased work including surface dressing, application of Kiely Lock and associated works such as stud removal/renewal and lining works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route. Their works reference is LG018SD001357-58-SD-01.

AND

b) Cannington Road, Nether Stowey for approximately 153 metres, which will commence on 4 August 2026 and is expected to last until 7 August 2026 (between 19:00 – 05:00). These works are for Kiely Bros to carry out phased work including surface dressing, application of Kiely Lock and associated works such as stud removal/renewal and lining works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route. Their works reference is LG018SD001417-SO.

The road will be reopened when no works are taking place. Signage will be placed on site. There may be a need for additional closures at a later date and if so, a notification will be sent for these.
