The Parish Meeting may, by law, discuss all Parish affairs and pass resolutions about them. The following matters have so far been placed on the agenda:
1. Chairman’s Report
2. Reports from Local Organisations
Please contact the Parish Council to add a matter to the agenda.
Each year an Annual Parish Meeting is held at which residents can air issues and ask the Parish Council to investigate certain matters which are of concern. The meeting is NOT a formal Parish Council meeting but it is facilitated and funded by the Parish Council for the benefit of the community. The draft minutes from last year’s meeting are now available at Annual Parish Meetings
Our Annual Return for the financial year to 31 March 2016 is now published – see the link below.
Please note that the accounts and Annual Return are as yet unaudited. The period for the exercise of the Public Rights to inspect the Accounts is Monday 6 June to Friday 15 July. Please click the links below to download the documents.

Clive Book, Wales & West Utilities Head of Emergency Service said:
“We have made good progress in restoring gas supplies to Cannington and Nether Stowey after they were interrupted due to third party damage, and have now restored gas supplies to almost 1200 houses.
“Our engineers are going door to door to safely turn the gas supply to the rest of the homes back on, and relight their appliances. We are asking people to please give them access to their homes so they can do this. We would urge customers to wait for our engineers visit and not try to turn the gas on themselves.
“If you are out when we call at your home, we will leave a card with contact details for you to ring when you get home. We will then come out and turn your gas supply and your appliances back on safely.
“We are working as safely and as quickly as possible to get our customers back on gas. We have distributed alternative heating and cooking facilities to vulnerable customers in the area, as required. If anyone needs assistance, or knows of a neighbour who may, please let us know – our Customer Service Team is ready to take your call. You can contact us on 0800 912 2999 or by enquiries@wwutilities.co.uk. Alternatively, you can contact us on Twitter @WWUtilities or Facebook.com/wwutilities.
“We will keep people updated on our progress by posting information on our website, on social media and updating local media outlets, including local radio stations.
“We would like to thank people in Cannington and Nether Stowey for their patience, understanding and support while we restore their gas supplies as safely and as quickly as possible.”

Stephen Pitman, Wales & West Utilities Area Engineering Manager for South West England said:
“We are sorry that people in Cannington and Nether Stowey have had their gas supplies interrupted due to third party damage.
“We are now in the process of finishing the repair to the damaged pipe. When this is done, we will be visiting every home to safely turn their gas back on and relight their appliances. Our engineers will be going door to door, and we are asking people to please give them access to their gas meters. All our engineers will be carrying identification. We would urge customers to wait for our engineers visit and not try to turn the gas on themselves.
“We have more than 70 engineers from right across our network on site working as safely and as quickly as possible to get our customers back on gas.
