Sedgemoor Local Plan (2011-2032): Publication of Inspector’s Report
The Inspector’s Report on the Examination of the Sedgemoor Local Plan 2011-2032 has been received from the Planning Inspectorate and is available to view on the following website: https://www.sedgemoor.gov.uk/LocalPlan
In addition to publication on the Council website copies of the report will also be made available for inspection at Sedgemoor District Council Offices and the following libraries during normal opening hours: Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Cheddar, North Petherton and Nether Stowey.
Following receipt of the Inspector’s Report the examination of the Sedgemoor Local Plan has now concluded. The role of the Inspector and the Programme Officer in the examination has now finished and any Local Plan queries should be directed to the Planning Policy Team at the Council.
Next Steps
The report sets out the Inspector’s recommendations in relation to the Plan and her reasons for them. The report concludes that the Sedgemoor Local Plan provides an appropriate basis for the planning of the District, provided that a number of main modifications are made to it. The Council will therefore consider the report with a final decision on adoption of the Local Plan anticipated at Full Council on the 20th February 2019.
