Each year an Annual Parish Meeting is held at which residents can air issues or ask the Parish Council to investigate certain matters which are of concern. The meeting is NOT a formal Parish Council Meeting, but it is facilitated and funded by the Parish Council for the benefit of the community. The draft minutes and reports from previous years’ meetings are available on the Parish Council website or from the office.
The minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting are posted in draft form after the meeting, to be approved by those present at the following year’s meeting.
The Parish Meeting may, by law, discuss all parish affairs and pass resolutions about them. Anyone who is entitled to vote in local elections in Nether Stowey may speak and vote at the Annual Parish Meeting.
